CSW Group’s Big Bang Team are busy creating and planning the Big Bang South West Regional Fair as well as The Big Bang Fair @ Exeter and are very excited to share all the details from both Fairs!
The Big Bang South West Regional Fair will take place on Wednesday 27th June at UWE Bristol Exhibition and Conference Centre. Registrations are open for this year’s event, which is set to be even bigger and better. The huge celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) will bring together a host of activities under one roof, including; a show stage featuring live science show, a range of hands on exhibits and activities from a range of business across the region.
Science magician and curator of dreams, Dr Matt Prichard will join ‘Mad Science’ a geeky group of mad, enthusiastic scientists on the stage to bring the students two action packed shows. Dr Matt Prichard’s shows are packed with science tricks, stunts and puzzles – the audience is challenged to discover the sneaky scientific secrets behind surprising illusions.
Alongside the exciting shows and exhibits the finals of the South West Young Scientist and Young Engineer of the Year competitions will take place, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony, with the winners progressing on to the national finals the following March at the NEC Birmingham.

The Big Bang @ Exeter will take place on Wednesday 25th April at Exeter University’s Great Hall. The hall will be full of interactive exhibitions not to mention the interactive shows that will run throughout the day.
The Big Bang team have worked hard to secure Mad Science for The Big Bang @ Exeter as well as Simon Watt, Biologist, science communicator and show man! Simon’s show link the classroom to the writer world and the impossible to the everyday!
The @ Exeter event is hosting the regional heats of both competitions with the entrants attending an awards ceremony at the end of the day, the winners here will the go to the regional finals – which will be held at the regional fair at UWE, Bristol.
