The College holds the national Quality in Careers Standard. Achieving the Standard was important to the College as it was a “stamp of approval” that the College is doing well with its careers provision. The College found the Standard’s alignment of its national assessment criteria with the Gatsby Benchmarks was especially helpful.
The Quality in Careers Standard (assessed and awarded by CSW Group as the Licensed Awarding Body) provides the school with recognition of the high quality of its careers education, information, advice, and guidance provision for all students, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed when they move on from the school.
The school is “very proud to have successfully achieved the Quality in Careers Standard, through the Awarding Body, CSW – Investor in Careers” and is now a full holder of the award for the next three years. This reflects the school’s strong commitment to provide impartial, independent careers education, information, advice and guidance.
It’s helped me build upon my knowledge and skills, and further understand my role as a Project Manager. It will help me build my professional portfolio.
Completing the CMI L3 Award in Project Management has been of real benefit to me and my organisation. My new skills have allowed me to work more effectively; the theory based and best practice models will support me when managing projects in the future and have given me the confidence to manage larger scale projects.

Great to have an Electric Vehicle Charging evening course through SMART SKILLS for the team to attend. It meant they did not have to take time away from their workload to gain the qualification, which will add to the services the business can provide in the way of renewable technologies.
