Destined for college and a bright future
Harry left school at the end of year 10 with no qualifications. He brought himself to Whitehead Ross under the COMPASS project as he realised that he needed to get some qualifications and he wanted to turn his life around after a bad experience at school and just mixing with trouble. He has nearly finished his Level 2 in English and Maths and wants to go on to do his Functional Skills Level 2 which we are in no doubt he will achieve.
On the strength of his determination and will and with Whitehead Ross’s support, Harry has just been offered a place at Truro College studying Sports Science and GCSE maths and English. He wants to become a Physical Trainer and is also a talented rugby player so they are very much looking forward to helping him towards a professional rugby career. It just goes to show, it is never too late. With the support of the Compass project, Harry has forged himself a new direction and despite leaving school early, with no qualifications, will be going into further education, with fantastic career prospects.
