NCS is a youth programme that runs across England and Northern Ireland. We exist to engage, unite and empower young people, building their confidence so they can go out there and achieve their dreams, no matter where they’re from or what their background is.

Our team in the South West is constantly working to make sure we deliver the most impactful experience we can, to as many young people as possible. Together, we’re tackling some of the biggest issues in our country:

Social Cohesion                                Social Mobility                 Social Engagement

So far, nearly half a million young people have taken part in NCS. For almost a decade, we’ve been working with local businesses, youth centres, football clubs and grassroots initiatives. Together, we’re aiming to make the world a fairer, kinder, more compassionate place. NCSers come from across the country, from every background and every walk of life. They meet, they laugh, and they change their communities together.

We are extremely proud to be sponsoring the Teachers’ Lounge at The Big Bang Science Fair, continuing our sponsorship of BBSF for a third year, and giving us the opportunity to thank teachers personally for their support of NCS. We think the Big Bang is a fantastic opportunity for schools’ talented and enthusiastic young scientists to explore and showcase their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths!

NCS are dedicated to investing and supporting initiatives that raise aspirations of young people, and are keen to support schools and the work they do with their students, offering each year 11 and 12 student the chance to experience an opportunity of a lifetime whilst making a difference to their local community.

NCS is a chance for young people to embark on exhilarating challenges, make their mark and build skills for work and life. We believe NCS is something that every year 11 and year 12 student should have the chance to do. That’s why we visit schools and colleges across the country to help young people sign up for this life-changing experience.
