New Venue for the Big Bang South West 2019
CSW Group is delighted to announce that the 2019 Big Bang South West regional fair will be held on Tuesday 25th June 2019 at Westpoint arena, Exeter.
Working in partnership with a range of key stakeholders across the public and private sector, we are thrilled to bring this prestigious regional celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) to a brand new venue for 2019. This large and flexible space offers us the opportunity to enhance the experience gained by young people and schools attending and to increase the range of hands-on STEM related activities.
The 2019 event will welcome over 3000 young people through the doors, and host an amazing array of engaging activities under one roof. The day will include; a show stage featuring live science shows, interactive hands-on exhibits and activities showcasing businesses from across the region, and the chance to find out more about careers and opportunities in STEM related sectors.
The event is open to primary and secondary schools and home-schooled children.
Alongside the shows and exhibits the event will also host the southwest regional heat of the national Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers competition, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony. The winners will represent the region at the National finals in March 2020 at the NEC Birmingham.
