Jasmine Lands a New Job With Support From COMPASS

Jasmine found out about COMPASS on the CSW Group website. She contacted us and after discussing her needs she was referred to our partner Whitehead-Ross. Jasmine had previously worked in hospitality but was made redundant during the pandemic.  At 19-years old, she had some great previous experience but wanted to build confidence in her interview skills.

Jasmine visited the Whitehead-Ross centre in Newquay to meet with Emma Hill, Youth Employability Officer, to discuss her goals and enrol on the COMPASS programme. Jasmine met with Emma again to prepare for an upcoming interview. They looked at interview techniques, went over potential questions and held a mock interview to build Jasmine’s confidence.

Jasmine had a successful interview, saying that “it couldn’t have gone better” and heard back a few days later that she had got the job!  Jasmine was very grateful for the support and thanked Emma for everything she had done to help in achieving her goals.

COMPASS is part funded by the European Social Fund.
