Skills for Young People

We offer vocational skills support to young people aged 15 to 24 who are not in education, training or employment or are at risk of falling out of education, training of employment. Our partnership works with young people to raise their qualification and skills levels and gives them the self-confidence and drive to succeed. We lay the foundations for positive progression into education, volunteering, traineeships, apprenticeships and lasting employment.

I Can

We manage the National Careers Service Enhancement for individuals aged 25+ who are employed or recently redundant and require higher level skills training. We provide careers advice and guidance, personal development planning, skills development, and learning and mentoring on an individual basis in conjunction with businesses. Our support, through an extensive partnership network, helps participants to achieve a positive outcome and progress in the workplace.

Heart of the South West

Skills for Young People

We offer young people aged 15 to 18 who are NEET / at risk of NEET vocational skills support to bring them closer to the labour market and equip them with skills that are aligned to the needs of the local labour market. We raise skills levels to provide young people with more and better opportunities.

We support unemployed and economically inactive individuals aged 25+ to progress into employment, volunteering, education or apprenticeships through personalised skills support. We develop people’s employability skills and increase access to businesses through vocational training, employment trials, work experience, internships and voluntary work. We link people with businesses in priority and growth sectors, providing them with a better opportunity to secure lasting employment.

Swindon and Wiltshire

We manage delivery of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to young people aged 16 – 24 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or are at risk of NEET. We deliver a personalised skills training programme that includes personal planning, mentoring, coaching, counselling and 1:1 support. We support young people to develop and demonstrate their employability skills and make better informed career choices at key transition points.

Employees Support in Skills

We provide individuals aged 18+ who are employed or at risk of redundancy to develop skills to enable in-work progression or progression into apprenticeships, education. Through this programme we also provide support to businesses to take on and develop individuals to fill intermediate, technical and higher level skills gaps and shortages. We deliver accredited provision at levels 3 and 4, aligned with priority sectors, as well as professional training, and leadership and management training across all sectors.

Support for the Unemployed

We manage delivery of bespoke training and support for individuals aged 18+ who are unemployed or economically inactive and are seeking a return to the labour market. We deliver vocationally related skills training reflective of the needs of local businesses. We also provide individualised information, advice and guidance to each individual to aid a positive outcome.
