Health and Safety Officer to support our Work Experience Team
Can you help to deliver safe work experience placements for young people?
CSW Group have an exciting opportunity to support the Work Experience team.
The post will involve undertaking Duty of Care checks of employers who take young people on work experience placements. This will involve working within set timescales and to deadlines to assess the suitability of placements on behalf of schools, colleges and learning providers.
You will ensure employer premises adequately meet the standards of Health & Safety for students on placement and assess if a DBS is required of an employer before a placement commences.
You will provide support to our Services to Education Manager and guidance to our Work Experience Administrators.
Essential:
• You will hold a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Demonstrable evidence of recent CPD and knowledge of current HSE legislation.
• Be professional and take a customer-centric approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ICT skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload and deadlines.
• Full driving licence and own car.
• Evidence of working both independently and as a team.
• Evidence of working with KPI’s, deadlines and targets.
Desirable but not essential:
• Understanding of issues faced by young people and employers undertaking work experience.
• Understanding of school/college work experience programmes.
• Understanding of importance of safeguarding young people.
