Community Engagement Advisers

Location: We have permanent full and part-time vacancies within the following areas: Cornwall
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (Community Engagement Adviser) depending on qualifications and experience

This is a new and exciting community-based role with the opportunity to play a key part in supporting unemployed young people, aged 16-19, to progress into education, employment or training (EET) opportunities through a multi-agency approach.

We are looking for professionals to proactively identify and engage with young people who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET), providing targeted advice and guidance within community settings to promote outcomes into EET. With significant experience of working with young people you will work jointly with other agencies to deliver multi-agency support to vulnerable young people through a range of intervention types.

You will deliver services to young people through face-to-face, telephone and online channels both individually and through group sessions. The ability to create and deliver bespoke workshops for delivery within community settings will also be a key requirement of the role as well as brokering support from other agencies. A key aspect of this role is getting to know an area of Cornwall well, what services and provision are available to young people, and building a network of contacts in that area.

Candidates should hold or be prepared to work towards the NVQ L4 Advice and Guidance or equivalent.

CSW Group are the largest single provider of information, advice and guidance services across the South West region and operate a range of contracts supporting young people to make successful transitions at key points of their lives. This work includes careers guidance services in schools and the community, supporting young people with a range of individual needs including SEND, mental health and those involved in the Youth Justice system, as well as working with those not in education or employment (NEETs) to re-engage them in positive outcomes.
