CSW Group is delighted to be a Delivery Partner on the new Health Works for Cornwall Programme, a major new European Social Fund DWP programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with investment until December 2023.

The programme is led by Cornwall Development Company in partnership with 10 local organisations including CSW Group. It aims to support unemployed or economically inactive individuals across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly; targeting those who have a health-related barrier to employment.

CSW Group is excited to be providing support to residents living in the Atlantic and Moor area of Cornwall. The project will support anyone who has a health-related barrier and has been unemployed or inactive for over 26 weeks (or less if they also have a barrier returning to work such as a lack of basic skills, are aged 50+, ex-offenders, lone parents, history of drug and/or alcohol misuse, caring responsibilities, homeless or learning disability/difficulty).

Part funded by the European Social Fund, this post will provide pre-employment support including careers advice and guidance. The support will help identify strengths, build self-confidence, identify barriers to progression and develop employability skills. This support with be delivered through a blended approach of virtual and face to face delivery both individually and where appropriate small groups.

Working on this contract, you will work closely with education and training providers as well as employers and other partner agencies. Advisers will be expected to manage and support a caseload of adults to positively progress towards employment and achievement of key targets. The work is varied, and you will work in a range of venues including multi-agency hubs if required. Roles may include the delivery of workshops.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to effectively support participant’s needs and to meet the needs of the ESF programme. Ideally you will understand project work as well as having significant experience of working with unemployed adults.
