SENDIASS Enquiry and Referral Officer
Can you support children & young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families/carers to access our independent information and advice service?
The role: Enquiry and Referral Officer (37 hours a week)
You will be responsible for the following activities:
• Providing a high quality first point of contact to individuals contacting our impartial and confidential SENDiass Service.
• Assessing individual’s information needs and provide up-to-date information on services which meet those needs,
• Collecting feedback from individuals to enable us to improve the service.
You will need high levels of communication skills and have empathy with callers who may be distressed, frustrated or anxious. Ideally you will have the level 1 SENDIASS qualification, but this can be provided to a suitable candidate. You will need to be respectful and proactive in this role.
Salary for this role is: £18,112.50
CSW Group are the largest single provider of information, advice and guidance services across the South West region and operate a range of contracts supporting young people to make successful transitions at key points of their lives. This work includes careers guidance services in schools and the community, supporting young people with a range of individual needs including SEND, mental health and those involved in the Youth Justice system, as well as working with those not in education or employment (NEETs) to re-engage them in positive outcomes.
