COMPASS supports Dan with the next step of his career

Dan was referred to COMPASS as he had lost his job 2 months before and was unsure what to do next. Dan has Cerebral Palsy and he wanted to explore roles and employers that would support him with the next step of his career.

With his change coach, Dan looked at various sectors and also employers he could access utilising public transport. Dan updated his CV and with support from his change coach they spent several sessions CV dropping and engaging with employers in his chosen area.

Following this, Dan attended interviews and job trials which built his confidence to start applying independently. On the 13th June, Dan attended an interview with Morrisons and was successful in securing a job as a customer assistant on the tills.

Dan will be enrolling onto a free Level 2 Customer Service course with South West Skills Academy in August to support his new role and will now be able to restart his driving lessons, giving more independence in the future.
