The Transitions Contract is funded by the Local Authorities in the South West Peninsular and aims to support vulnerable young people in to employment, education and training.
We are currently looking for advisers to work with young people in the Newton Abbot, Exeter and Torbay areas who are in alternative provision and/or those that are home educated. These are a particularly vulnerable group of young people who will require a high level of support in order to ensure a successful transition to adulthood.
As such we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and experienced individuals to deliver the provision of high quality mentoring and advocacy as well as Information, Advice and Guidance to these young people.
You will be expected to work in a variety of educational and/or community settings in Exeter and Newton Abbot and/or Torbay to support eligible young people with making informed decisions about their future pathways and support them to move into positive outcomes. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and be required to liaise with a range of professionals and parents/carers.
