Ambitions is a huge collaborative effort which will see increased partnership working across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and greater provision of high quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG).  In line with the council’s Cornwall Careers Offer, an aspirational strategy based on local and national research, Ambitions seeks to change the landscape of CEIAG –  ‘Better collaboration for greater collective impact’.

Delivered throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Ambitions will enable eligible young to access a range of support in various venues such as schools, colleges and community settings across the county.

Examples of some of the activity on offer to eligible young people include:

  • Employability activities with local employers including high quality work experience opportunities;
  • Access to qualified and experienced career guidance professionals;
  • Vocational/informal learning experiences;
  • Resilience building;
  • Peer mentoring;
  • Summer school for SEND young people to help with transition;
  • Access to a mobile Careers Roadshow and much, much more!

The project will also see the development of new posts within Cornwall Council which seek to raise awareness and improve training and employment outcomes for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

There will also be access to increased CPD opportunities for partners and wider CEIAG professionals.
